About Me
Osmane Sankara
MBA Candidate (Finance) | Toronto Metropolitan University
My professional background is in capital markets, where I developed experience in securities trading, client relationships, and financial decision-making.
Today, I am pursuing a full-time MBA in Finance, with a growing interest in investment research, business valuation, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions.
Beyond technical expertise, I value continuous learning, intellectual curiosity, and building a reputation grounded in sound judgment, integrity, and reliability.
The Opportunity Cost of Comfort
Every decision has an opportunity cost. So does standing still.
For a long time, I associated progress with stability: gaining experience, becoming proficient at my work, and finding a comfortable routine.
But working in finance from home eventually led me to ask a different question: What opportunities might I be giving up by remaining comfortable?
That question reshaped how I approached my future.
Pursuing a full-time MBA has allowed me to step outside that routine, develop new skills, and take on responsibilities I might otherwise never have explored—from serving as VP Finance of the MBA Student Leadership Association to participating in business valuation and case competitions.
Running has reinforced a similar lesson: progress rarely comes from waiting for perfect conditions. Sometimes it requires embracing discomfort and discovering what you're capable of.
My goal is not simply to acquire qualifications or pursue a particular title, but to become a stronger analytical thinker, an effective communicator, and someone others can trust and rely on.
This website grew out of that philosophy.
It is a place to document my research, financial projects, professional development, and the ideas shaping my journey.
Welcome to my website.
